PRIVACY POLICY

Effective date: August 30, 2026

INFORMATION KARTORA HANDLES

Kartora lets you enter gear names, categories, brands, models, serial numbers, purchase and warranty details, values, notes, gear photographs, receipt photographs, traveler details, passport numbers, trip dates, selected destinations, on-screen signatures, and customs-document history.

This information is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData and app-storage technologies. Kartora does not require an account, does not include third-party advertising or analytics, and does not transmit your inventory or travel records to SparkCrest Digital. Kartora does not sell or share personal information.

CAMERA AND PHOTO LIBRARY

If you choose to attach a gear or receipt image, Kartora requests access to the camera or to photos you select. Those images remain part of Kartora’s local data on your device. You can decline these permissions and continue using the rest of the app.

CUSTOMS DOCUMENTS AND SHARING

Kartora can create traveler-prepared supporting PDF documents from information you enter. A PDF may contain personal identifiers such as a traveler name, passport number, trip details, equipment serial numbers, values, photographs, and an on-screen signature.

Creating a PDF does not automatically send it to SparkCrest Digital. When you choose Share, Save to Files, Mail, Messages, AirDrop, or another destination, Apple’s share sheet and the selected third-party service handle that transfer. You control where the document is sent and who can access it.

Kartora documents are supporting records prepared by the traveler. They are not official government forms, customs approvals, legal advice, or a guarantee that equipment will be admitted without inspection, declaration, tax, duty, permit, deposit, or an ATA Carnet.

COUNTRY GUIDANCE AND EXTERNAL LINKS

Kartora provides general preparation guidance and links to official customs resources. Requirements can change and may vary by citizenship, residency, point of entry, travel purpose, equipment type, quantity, and value. Confirm current requirements directly with the destination and transit-country authorities before travel.

Opening an external customs website leaves Kartora and is governed by that website’s own privacy practices.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Your information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete inventory items and generated-document history inside Kartora. Deleting the app may remove its locally stored data. Kartora version 1.0 does not provide cloud synchronization or an online account from which data must be deleted separately.

DEVICE AUTHENTICATION

If you enable inventory protection, Kartora uses Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework to request Face ID, Touch ID, or the device passcode. Kartora receives only the authentication result and does not receive or store your biometric data.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

Kartora is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. SparkCrest Digital does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Kartora.

SECURITY

Keeping records local reduces network exposure, but no device or storage method is perfectly secure. Protect your device with a strong passcode, enable Kartora’s device-authentication option when appropriate, and carefully review recipients before sharing a customs PDF.

CHANGES

We may update this policy if Kartora’s features or data practices change. The effective date shown above identifies the current version.
